The Reason for My Silence

Those of you who often visit the blog may have found that I haven’t updated it in quite a while. I wish I could have said that I am too busy with NaNoWriMo 2017, but, alas, that is not so. In fact, I have yet to reach 5 000 words.

But, I do have a good reason for the silence – turns out I have really bad anemia. As in the-doctor-doesn’t-know-how-I’m-still-vertical-nevermind-going-to-work-every-day anemic. And, with the anemia, comes fatigue. Oh, the debilitating fatigue.

The good news is that I got an iron IV (whatever the correct name is) and what seems like pills strong enough for an elephant with anemia. And more blood tests in two month’s time except if it doesn’t get better within a month. I’m really hoping that it gets better sooner rather than later.

Until then I’m doing what I am able to do (and focusing on work rather than blogging, for instance) and for once not putting too much pressure on myself thinking that it’s just me being useless at the end of the year and overreacting.

I have no idea whether I’ll be able to finish NaNo. Honestly, I’m taking it day by day. So we’ll see. But I’m not just abandoningΒ Papier en porselein.

Therefore, if you hear from me – great! If you don’t hear from me, it’s not because I suddenly stopped blogging forever and ever and o gosh I’m also never going to write again either… No, I’m just probably sleeping and waiting for my body to recover a bit.
